Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your StoryCloud account and what happens to your data when you do. StoryCloud Pty Ltd (“StoryCloud”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is the developer of the StoryCloud app. You can delete your account at any time, either directly within the app or by contacting us via email.

1. Delete Your Account in the App

The quickest way to delete your account is directly within the StoryCloud app:

Open the StoryCloud app.

Tap Profile in the bottom navigation.

Select the Account tab.

Scroll down to the Delete Account section.

Type delete my account in the confirmation field.

Tap the Delete button.

Once confirmed, your account deletion request is processed immediately and you will be signed out of the app.

2. Request Deletion by Email

If you are unable to access the app, or prefer to reach us directly, you can request account deletion by emailing us at:

To help us process your request quickly, please include:

The email address associated with your StoryCloud account.

The subject line “Account Deletion Request”.

We may need to verify your identity before processing the request, to protect your account from unauthorised deletion. We aim to acknowledge all requests within 7 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

3. What Data Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently delete or de-identify the following data associated with your account:

Your account details (name, email address, phone number, and login credentials).

All child profiles linked to your account (first name, age, and usage data such as listening history and reading progress).

Your profile picture / avatar.

App usage and interaction data linked to your account.

4. Data We May Retain

In line with our Privacy Policy, some data may be retained for a limited period:

Closed accounts: personal information is deleted or de-identified within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.

Backups: overwritten and purged on rolling cycles, with a maximum residual of 90 days post-deletion.

Financial/transaction records: retained up to 7 years for tax and regulatory compliance, as required by law.
